I have a crack in my garage near a control joint that I would like to repair. This lines up with where I typically place jack stands when lifting my cars. I also use a Quick Jack on this part of the floor. The crack is maybe 3-4 feet long. The floor has some unknown paint/epoxy applied long ago. The floor is about 26 years old. What product can I use here? It does not need to be pretty, but it does need to be smooth enough to use jack stands and the Quick Jack on.

For a crack near a control joint that will see point loads from jack stands and a Quick Jack, you want a structural epoxy patch rather than a cement-based filler. Cement patches tend to re-crack under concentrated loads.

A good option is this epoxy patch kit:
https://www.legacyindustrial.co/products/fiveton-epoxy-patch-kit/

It is a high-strength, two-part epoxy designed specifically for crack and surface repairs in concrete. Once cured, it is extremely hard, load-bearing, and can be feathered smooth so jack stands and lift frames sit flat. It does not need to be decorative to perform well.

Since your floor has old paint or epoxy, you would want to grind or mechanically roughen the area first so the patch bonds to clean concrete. The product cures much stronger than the surrounding slab and works well for older concrete.

Installation instructions are here:

If you prep properly, this type of epoxy repair will hold up far better than typical crack fillers under lifting equipment.
