My family and I moved to a new town about a year ago, and I had to say good-bye to my shop. Of course, house hunting was miserable and sacrifices had to be made. Since I'm gone six months of the year, I was the one to make the sacrifice. So we purchase a home where the garage was converted into a den and had no out buildings. Fortunately, we own a 10x12 skid mount style storage building, and it made the move with us. My home tools, work bench, future projects, and half finished projects ended up being piled up in this storage building. Depression set in and nothing was done with any of it for 8 months. Then in October of last year I stumbled across GJ seeking info on an old compressor pump I acquired. Being the great site that it is, I kept logging in a reading threads and looking a pictures. The depression started to lift, and I became motivated to convert this small storage building into my shop. In the last four months I have built work benches along two walls, sorted and organized, wired outlets, and now have electrical service to what I now call my shop. It is small and cramped, but I now have a usable space. I mainly bring used up air compressors back to life, and I am able to do it again thanks to Garage Journal.

Damn good story. It's not the size of your shop, it's what you do in it that counts.... And since we all know that's not really true, I hope you get to add on one day!

Now - where's the pictures???!!
