Anyone know where I can find a small flashlight bulb like this? Went to Home Depot.... and radio shacks are out of biz I think.

It says j22vk4 on the side.

If you search "2.2v bulb" on ebay there's a bunch. I don't know if that helps.

I have seen those type of bulbs in the nut/bolt/parts drawers at the local hardware store. The ACE hardware stores around here have them the electrical parts drawers in the nut and bolts area.

It looks like your typical "PR" series flashlight bulb. What size battery and how many are in the light ? I have a tray full of that style bulb, might be able to help you out.

Could be a KPR104. I'm looking at a Philips KPR104 from a 2 AA cell flashlight and it's marked 2.2V 0.47A. Other PR type bulbs would probably physically interchange but the extra current would drain the batteries faster and the extra heat might damage the plastic reflector.

The sporting goods section at Wal Mart might be a good place to find another bulb.

You might find a LED bulb which draws less current, makes less heat and makes more light.

An LED bulb would fit in that slot?

I found a good bulb in another radio shack flashlight I had laying around.

Tested the old one with a multimeter and sure enough it was dead.

I'll keep an eye out when I'm in those stores.

Thanks guys.

If you can't get them elsewhere, measure the bulb & base, know the working voltage and check McMaster Carr. I bought hard to find bulbs from then in the past.

Just google "2 Cell LED blubs" or "2 Cell led flashlight blubs", "2.2v kyptron Flash light bulbs"..... they are pretty standard.... I have seen them in walmart, HD and lowes. Both LED and filment type bulb have a voltage range, just make sure you get the right one.... 3v ones you'll have to use regular alkaline battery that are 1.5V each and not rechargeable that are actually 1.2V per cell....

But with that price, I think it is just better to buy a new LED flashlight instead..... I bought 2 in a package with batteries from costco for $10 when it was on sale last month. Super bright.... there is no comparison..
