Hey all, I am fairly new to GJ. I have gotten a TON of great ideas on here though. Right now i have a small garage with not much room to work with so I'm trying to make due.

This is the work bench i built, might not be too much to look at but i am proud of it. The top is actually from an old hardwood floor and the doors on both the upper and lower cabinet are recycled from old cabinets I got from my dad.

Welcome bcs1175, good use of used things to make due. This site is a wealth of knowledge, as you know. One of my saying's is make the most of what you have, and I believe you have!!

Plenty to be proud of there. Keep an eye out for a scrap piece of wood trim (or even steel or aluminum strip) that you could run along the edge of the top to clean up the edge. Or don't, since it's a nice bench right there as it sits.

Welcome to the Journal.

Welcome! Hey, I always say- At least you have a garage, many don't! The bench looks great! Cool idea! If I come across any hard wood flooring scraps, I may have to steal your idea. Very neat.

BTW- I see you have a Mazda. Is it a Mazda 3 or 6? I myself like Mazdas. :)

About the same as mine. I had to start parking one of the two cars outside... There just wasn't enough space in between to avoid door dings.
