my "2" car mess. it is a mess currently, but i'm getting it cleaned up and should have it looking/working nice soon. i have painted the two side walls, but still need to paint the front wall and the ceiling. i also need to add some lights.
at this time, i was in between 2 Jeep projects; one of which i sold two weeks ago, and the other, a CJ5 project is just getting underway. it was hard making space for tearing two jeeps apart at the sametime.
on the left are some shelves i built. they are pretty deep, but still leave room for a fullsize SUV to fit. i am thinking about cutting them down a few inches though for a little extra room.
on the right is my 'work-in-progress' workbench, which has my 60gal compressor on one side and tool chest on the other side. i am considering moving the compressor to the far end of the garage closest to the door to possibly allow some of the noise to escape. then again, it's in sort of an unuseable space up next to the water heater, so it may stay.
the CJ tub is on end strapped to the front wall and the frame is dead center on the garage floor where i am working on it.
i will be moving the tub over to the left closer to the house door to make room for an upcoming table saw and miter saw up on the same ledge for storage.
i will be building some ceiling shelves that are to the front of the garage (over the garage door).
there is an electric hoist hanging from the rafters above that drops down through a hole in the ceiling. you can see an olive drab power wheels jeep project hanging from it currently. i originally worked it up as a hardtop hoist for my Wrangler.
