Hey all i've been lurking on here for about a week now and constantly sit here awestruck! I think its time to post!

My garage has been functioning as a garage, workshop, machine shop and storage however it is significantly smaller than anything I have seen on here.

I will post some pictures on here later today, in the mean time, show off your tiny garages.

There is nothing wrong with having a tool crib as a shop. Mine is tiny, but I do have outdoor "bays". What I have found is that you must keep every thing very clean to get anything done at all, and that it will go from unkept to a wreck in about 15 minutes.

That is one part I have never figured out about the British garages, they are so small AND the weather ***** most of the time. I have had very small garages here in S. Calif. and it was ok, I just moved stuff out into the sunshine and worked away, in the U.K. its raining half the time and you can't move your tools out. But they get it done and sometimes even faster then me.

Funny you should mention the rain lol
Here is my garage in summer mode (this morning)
My Bike is usually across the garage, either by the bench or across the door behind the car.

Or sometimes along side (old pic)

I am about half way through a big old clear up and tidy, this is the end where I have started and I think its coming along nicely

That compressor is 100L and works well as a heater when the door is down!

Everyone has got a number plate collection havn't they?
SDC12508.jpg

Once I have the downstairs bit tidied up and sorted out ill be starting in the loft where there is:
Bike stuff, morris minor stuff and a parafin heater there is also half sharts and torsion bars and a couple of front wings out of sight.

Bike bits, a tyre, pannels old fuel cans

Here is the wet weather pic.
From inside with my garage extension!

From outside with the aforementioned extension.

(all these pics apart from the one with the bike along side were taken today you can see from the clock in one of the pics that its the height of the British noon sun!

Unfortunately my neighbour (with the red door) has no interest in renting any space out. Fortunatly the neighbour on the other side lets me use his parking space so I have a double space to use where the BMW is in the last picture.

Like I said its in the middle of a clean up so please be gentle, I had let it slide badly this winter but well on the way to tidy now, and yes it does get messy quick!

Any one else got pics?

Garages over here in britain are tiny compared to most garages on this forum.

small car = small garage?
no offense intended

but gez they are kinda small, the garages i mean.
do you see larger garages outside of town ?, i can see them being small in town, with small lot sizes and building stacked right next to each other.

Your garage could benefit from a little cleanup but other than that, you've got to work with what you've got. Looks great.

I started off when I was 15 with a garage 20% longer and 15% wider, then I moved to a wider one that was a bit shorter and now I own this one!
Hopefully the next one will be at least a double!
Im planning a bit of an Ebay marathon before I start the next project.
Does anyone have any tricks to help with storage in a garage this small? hopefully if I can perfect this garage then ill be able to get twice the **** in my next one! lol

2k, what size are you talking? 'Small' is a relative term. I am working with a 12x24 with an 8' ceiling. To me that is small.
My storage solution will be cabinets. Large ones.
