Small hollow spot in basement floor

Ok so I recently purchased my home and it has a concrete slab in the basement with a weeping tile system. Over the weekend I pulled up the carpet and started to chisel old tile from in front of the door to replace it and hit a hollow spot under the concrete in front of the door wall the spot is probably about 8 inches by 8 inches. Is it possible that this is part of the weeping tile system or what else could it be. I have contacted a few foundation repair companies but non of them can come out for at least 3 weeks... any advice will help me out a ton.... Thank you all in advance

Utility location companies can tone and trace out the tile drainace for you to hopefully help determine what the void is. If it's in fact not part of the tile drainage system, you can drill into the void and fill it with polyurethane spray foam. I'd consult with the pros on whether you want high or low expanding though - not sure where the foundation stuff is ranked.

My moms has a spot like that for a sump pump for if/when the basement floods.

so is there a hole in the slab that you can see this void or can you just tell by tapping on the slab that it is hollow underneath?

if the slab is sound then leave it alone, if the slab fails in that area then fix it...

8" x 8" is small, 8' x 8' might need immediate attention
