I have an unused toiletry bag with a 3/8" drive ratchet, vise grips, pliers, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm sockets, phillips #2 and blade screwdriver, a Channellock plier, a long nose plier and a utility knife under the driver's seat. Had it for 15 years and it saved my **** several times. IF it's something I can't fix there I call AAA to tow me home.

Try shoving some sockets up your ***. That should free up some space in the trunk. Cheers!
