I am looking for a small mag drill. I have to drill and tap a lot overhead for sensor mounting. Normally use 6-32 screws and hardly ever go above a 1/4-20. So far the ones I have found might work for the 1/4-20 but seem to be too large for 6-32. Normally it is sheet metal however at times it is thick wall square tubing or 1" thick steel plate.

Cordless would be nice but not required.

I am currently using cordless drills but after a few I start getting tired and not holding the drill straight and start snapping bits/taps.

Or does anyone have a better idea on how to drill and tape the holes?

Thank you.

You will have to make something . maybe a tabletop drill press on a step ladder . Also look at TAPMATIC that use a drill bit/tap combination.

Thanks I think I will try the hand drill press first see how that goes. Hopefully it will help keep the tap bit straight.
