I have the 56 inch Tool Vault combo and have been pleased with it except for one nagging issue. It probably isn't unique to Tool Vault, but the way you have to either try to slip your fingers under the top lid or smear greasy fingers on the front to open it bugged me.

So I added a 18" wide handle/grab bar/rag rack. It was $20 shipped from that evil auction site. The brushed finish is slightly less silver than the drawer and edge trim but that's just because it's actual stainless vs the whatever is used on the box. Anyone else done something like this or is it just my issue???

Great job. I've seen people do that to smaller box tops but they usually use some stand out tacky handle. Yours integrates very well with the overal style of the box.

i also have a Tool Vault 56inch top/bottom/cabinet combo with a custom drawer setup they did for me.

i wonder if you call Strictly Tool if they will tell you what that coating they have on the handles is so you can have it done to the handle you installed so it looks factory.

Its really not that different and most people wouldn't even notice. The factory trim is likely their best attempt to get silver metallic powder coat to look like brushed stainless. Its done.
