Small Pad For Deck Stairs

I will need to pour a small pad for under the stringers for my deck stairs

Stairs will be 5 or 6 steps tall......

How thick does the pad need to be?

Rebar or not?

Bags of 5000psi good?

Thick as a 2x4 which is 3-1/2" nominal. Wire mesh will help keep it together if it cracks. Rebar is a bit overkill imo but will work.

5ksi is fine, broom finish and cover overnight if freezing weather or hard rain is expected.
