That looks amazing. I made a smaller one of wood to fit in my workbench.
I'm stealing the idea of putting the tools with the parts for glue gun, riveter, crimper, etc....that's genius!

Great work! Thanks for the coupon too, $26 dollars shipping to Hawaii for (9) units. Less then half of what I can get at HD or Lowe’s. Hopefully it comes through.

I need one or two of these in my life.

It sure would be nice to standardize my motley assortment of hardware and small parts storage.

I’ve been collecting the organizers for something similar. Although this is too good. It looks great and functions just as well. Thanks for sharing.

I like it. I currently have a 13 drawer HF tool cabinet loaded out with bins of hardware. I have it filled. I am thinking I could build one of those at a cheaper price than buying another tool chest. Thinking you could build it with the same quantity of slots on the back side doubling your storage capacity and increase stability while maintaining the same amount of wall usage. Would have to pull it out every time you need fasteners from the back side though.

Great... one more project. Thanks.

I would buy some extra storage containers to have on hand for spares you may need in the future.

HF will undoubtedly change the size, color, or style of those containers at some point, so if you end up breaking one or more of yours you may be out of luck getting a replacement you are happy with.

Spencer....that was my thought. By the time I was ready to buy the next load, HF would have changed their design and color and I’d be SOL. Yes....buy a few for a back up and replacement.

Excellent work - I'm working on organizing my hardware right now and may need to build one of these. Trying to get everything i can on casters and this is a great solution (and great execution).

Good work man, I like your welding table too. Got any pics of that? also, what paint color did you use, looks like a perfect match to the HF US General cabinets

These are great.

Has anyone had these boxes supported by the edges and loaded with heavy stuff for a long time yet? Are the boxes staying straight?

Great Idea but it's very hard to have a extra

I do have a dozen or so extra Plano tackle boxes now, these have taken there place as well.

OP Nice

I’ve been wanting to build one of these forever. Nice work, good ideas. Do you think this style could be wall mounted? I don’t have any floor space, so I gotta put it up.

Same. I have about 20 of the Stanley parts organizers and have been looking at building a rack for them. I lack the tools and the skill to weld, but have the ability to build it out of wood. Just another project to add to the list!

You can build the frame out of wood and metal angles for the rails. Then you would only need to cut the angles to length and drill so you can screw them into the wooden frame.

Very nice job!

Just a heads up for anyone buying these HF cases, make sure you buy the part number that starts with "9". The one that starts with "6" is a lower quality (the yellow part of the handle comes off and the label has permanent adhesive one it). The bins are also slightly different heights and aren't interchangeable between the two. I learned the hard way. There is a coupon on the HF coupon page to get these for $6 this month.

I bought HF and Stanley boxes about ten years ago and they are supported on the lip underneath the lid. They actually hang from static supports, as opposed to sitting on angle underneath the bottom edges. Mine are solid with no deflection, and some have 10+ lb. of **** in them.

I need to build another one of these, I have at least 30 of both sizes of these boxes, a mix of HF, Stanley and Stack-On, and they don't all fit in the cabinet I built.
