Small portable tool box recommendations

Hey guys, I'm on the lookout for a small portable toolbox for my small collection of tools. Here is a picture of my tools currently, I've got some more tools not shown (screwdrivers, sockets, meter, etc). Ultimately I want something that keeps my tools organized, but something that is still portable.

I've thought about something like this: Craftsman 4-Drawer Rally Portable Chest

It's like a Channellock #85 Fencing Tool, but more of a claw hammer.

Yeah, hammer/plier combo tool. I got it as some novelty tool from I think Eddy Bauer, but it's actually pretty nice. For the rare instance that I need a small hammer, it does the trick and doesn't take up much space.

I'd go with the Craftsman, drawers will make it easier to find / access your tools when you need them.

If you can pick it up that is! Once you get all your tools in there, it may become stationary storage. Something to keep in mind.

I've got enough tools strewn about now, that once I get my basement workshop sorted out I'll have tool storage there, but several small portable boxes to take what I need where I need. I don't store any tools in my garage due to our climate, and therefore rust. So a Craftsman metal box with a soft type of portable carrier might be your best bet.

I had a Craftsman 3-drawer portable box. It was portable, but just barely.
If you're going to the junk yard with it, you needed lots of breaks to rest, or a wagon.

And it didn't have my socket set it in.

I have been looking for the same thing. I have a small portable with a top tray and its just to full and disorganized. I was looking for a box with 2 or 3 drawers to keep wrenches organized. The Craftsman/Waterloo metal boxes with drawers are just to heavy so i was looking for a sturdy Plastic one. Craftsman sells a Plastic box with 3 metal drawers that seems pretty sturdy and its something around 10 pounds lighter than the metal one. It goes for $40 to $50. BUT, I did notice the same exact box at Home Depot.com labeled as a husky and its like $20.00 with free shipping. I plan to order one soon. I think it would work nice, and the top part is tall enough to fit some 3/8 drive Hanson socket holders!

If you don't like the self-locking drawers, they make a 4 drawer cart in black. I attached a pic of that too. That one i think i've found a coupon for it before. I'll look for that one quick too. I like the cantilever box a lot. Only concern would be weight.

Here's my junkyard box. It's heavy...but all the weight is in the tools as it should be for a box you're going to carry.

the thing to remember is that toolboxes get heavy quickly, and the more space you have the more space will get filled with stuff

There is a small tag on it somewhere that says "China" on it. I cut my tag off, it made me feel better. But I still like there products, very well made.

I just picked up a kennedy 1018 cantilever on craigslist. Its really nice and holds a lot, but weighs a ton now that its loaded up with my tools.
