Hey all! I've been creepy on here for a while for ideas and motivation. I have a 2 car attached and way to much stuff. I'd like to say that this whole project spawned from a matco tool box purchase.while in the hospital waiting for my kid to arrive I bored bought a whole **** ton of used tools on eBay. After getting the box home and swapping tools I knew it was time for a change. I couldn't confortably work in the crowded space.
I didn't take any before pictures, but I did take a few pictures of tools in the garage for craigslist with garage in the back round. Just to get an idea of the disaster.

Added lowes 4' led lights for $54 a piece, but well worth it.

I picked up a matco 4s triple bay for $2300.

Once I got the lighting taken cAre of I went to town.

I had 2 of these and they had to go.

I mirrored this on the other side.

Wall art I'm saving for a larger garage.

I'm waiting for sear Black Friday sale to get some 30" gladiator wall mount cabinets for the open spaces on the wall. Normally 240ish Black Friday for 99$. http://http://m.sears.com/dap/smobile/special/blackfriday?sid=ISx20140327xBrand&psid=13x2658741&knshCrid=4011531&k_clickID=15641986-9219-c089-8347-000068c0a8f3&gclid=Cj0KEQiA7tCjBRDulMny5rfM0dkBEiQA7fcshbOS7aUdXj5SAUVa-iOn9Wm8eMWpRNhT7llcqkI1VG0aAiW_8P8HAQ

With all the lumber, brackets, hardware and lights. I believe this set me back $1000 ish.
I scored a lot of small ideas like the pic drill/impact holders from Pinterest.

What got me on the idea of a new tool box... When I tried to fit all the new tools into my **** box, the drawer tracks broke on 2 shelves from the weight. I own a lot of tools. I'm into rock crawling, dirt biking and 4wheelers. So I do a lot welding, wrenching and maintenance. I try to pick up a few side jobs here and there off Craigslist and friends. So I'm had the need to spend the money on good tools and equipment. Any additional input or ideas would be appreciated! Thanks for looking.

Garage looks good. One thing I must say though and you probably didn't know this, but you should never hang a plastic kayak by the carry handles. What will happen over time is due to the weight of the kayak it will sag in the middle and your kayak will start taking on a more banana-like shape which will negatively affect the handling and stability. One way to overcome this is to use straps under the belly of the kayak if you want to keep it there or store it on its side which is the strongest part of a kayak. Just an FYI. Google kayak storage and look at the images, you will see many different ways to store a kayak.

WOW you got a lot going on in a small space, but your organization is working out well.
That MATCO tool chest is wonderful. It can be tough finding homes for all the things you need to keep, but your doing great!!
Keep up the good work and keep posting!!

Best Regards

Thanks for the kayak tip! I'll look into that today. Tonight I'll buy the gladiator cabinets
For Black Friday. Hopefully I can make some sense of the shelves once I have cabinet storage. Thanks for the help and encouragement.

Does the hard top belong to an old 4Runner? Do you still have it? I like the old tailgates too.

Cool remodel. I got some great ideas. Saw the same drill holder Pinterest. Thanks for kicking the idea to the top of the list. Always encouraging to see someone execute a good idea.

Thanks guys. I'm going to be looking for a garage heater. My garage is not insulated behind the drywall but my garage door is. Currently I use a kerosene heater thats 35k-45k btu. I'm using $40 in kerosene in a week or 2. The new heater will have to be electric. I'll be doing some searching on my own but any help is appreciated. Northern tool has some heaters on sale in the 19k btu range for $90 I'm just afraid it won't be enough.
