Howdy.
I have a 16x20 detached garage I am looking to clean up and organize (you can see in the pics that it is an absolute mess). I've been at this house for 2 years but just haven't had the time to really go through and clean up/paint/organize. I just basically threw my **** inside and it is organized the same way the previous idiot owners did.
Now, I have already redid the electrical service to the garage (now has 60amps and a subpanel). Before I went ahead and added more outlets and redid the interior electric, I figured now is the time to repair and paint the walls and better organize things.
I will be building a small shed elsewhere in the backyard sometime this summer to move the lawnmower/garden tools/etc out of the garage.
I already bought 5 gallons of gray dryloc and cement repair to fix and paint the walls with.
I want to add more LED lights, not sure about insulation. I'm in NJ so it does get cold in the winter (I have a small kerosene heater that currently brings the space up to about 50-60 degrees when it is freezing out) and hot as hell in the summer (already added a vent fan). However, since I redid the electric I could install a small electrical heater.
The advice I'm looking for is what to do with the ceiling. The underside of the roof is dusty, exposed and ***** up all the light like a black hole.
Is it best to simply paint it white or light gray, cover with a material, or something else (bamboo flooring I saw in a previous thread)?
Thoughts?
