Any ideas on something I can buy instead of having to build. Want to get my 8" tabletop drill press off my workbench and onto a sturdy table. I could then bolt it to the table and it would still be sort of portable by moving the table. I just cant find the right terms to search for this.

I have a couple of these stands that I mounted power tools on. They are fairly inexpensive, are quite sturdy, and they work well for mounting things like a saw, a sander, things like that. It should work well for a drill press, although depending on how tall you are, it could be a little bit low. In that case, build the stand up a bit with wood so the drill press is sitting higher up.

I'm looking to build a (locking) wheeled cart that has the drill press facing one direction and a grinder on the rear facing the other direction.

I don't think a 2 shelf Harbor Freight cart with the top flipped over is going to be tall enough or sturdy enough even with plywood to reinforce the top.

my benchtop drill press is on a SO 2 shelf cart.
flipped the top shelf over and added a piece of plywood.

in my case, it's a little top heavy, but i dont move it around much....

I used one of the harbor freight grinder stands. I mounted a piece of 3/4" plywood on top and then the drill press.

Very good stands, and very stable.

3 drawer filing cabinets with a bit of ply or steel to reinforce the top are about perfect for a drill, though one the same size that was designed for media storage is even more useful with more but shallower drawers.

I have a 2x4 small-footprint bench, I'll have to get you a pic later, just screwed together w/construction screws, drill pilot holes to avoid splitting. Very stable. I use it for > a drill press stand, and you can alter the leg height to suit your needs.
