Thanks to all of you for your kind condolences. We were fishing in a remote part of Northeastern Arkansas when the call came that wife's mom had fallen and had a massive stroke to the left side. We packed up and drove all night to Kansas City, where the wife was able to be with her at the time of her passing. Her funeral was today, and all went very well in a great way. Wife's mom was 91 years old.
I dearly appreciate all that my good friends on the Garage Journal have posted in wishing us peace and comfort. As Don Long says in his post, you are all a truely good band of brothers. Thank you all.

Best Regards
Herb

Got a little neon clock for a vintage feel. Added some security lighting to front of garage. These lights brighten as you approach the building. The lights are solar powered and detect movement within 20 feet. I also have them on the rear of the garage in higher power, and I can almost work back there under the brightness of them. Almost any movement around the garage at night will trigger a light and put out a pretty good beam. I also have a pole lamp near the side door that comes on and off automatically. It is electrically powered.

The garage has good lighting security now.

Best Regards
Herb Spencer

The clock looks fantastic Herb:thumbup:

I am a big fan of external lighting for security, there is very little of our place outside that you can't light up automatically. I does give you some piece of mind.

Herb,
I like that clock a lot!

Good job with the security lighting.
I have a combination of dusk to dawn & motion sensor lighting on the garage, and at the back door of our home.

Herb, so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I have been away from the forum for a bit but just saw this.

Our prayers go out to you, your wife and your family at this time.

For those who asked, here are some daytime pics of the lights both front and back of garage. I will look up Amazon stock numbers and link them in next post.

Best Regards
Herb

Thanks, the lights give me a feeling at night of safety and when the wife
is out in the yard, it makes her feel better too. That way she can see the crawley critters before they get her!! LOL

Can you share any more details on the lights? Those are awesome!

Carp

I am hoping the daylight photos will show the equipment, and I have in a post included the descriptions of the light that I bought on Amazon for you.

Thanks for your interest and visit!!

Good work on the lights Herb - as well as the security aspect, it's always good to be able to see where you're walking.

I like the clock too.

Mark

Always great to have you stop by my thread. The little neon clock is very nice to look at in the shop. It has a nice glow to remind me I need a Killian's Irish Red. Thanks so much for your visit!!!

Best Regards
Herb

Hi Herb,

They work well those little solar lights. I have a similar one out on the chicken coop that I installed after we had Mr Fox visit my last set of girls. Speaking of which I better go out and lock the current ones up for the night.

Cheers Grumblebum.

Got the garage back in order after several projects were finished. Got in a new OTC GREASE GUN which is made in Germany. Nice tool and high quality. Made a resupply run on small hardware. Shop ready to go again!

Best Regards
Herb

Hey Super G

Yep, SEC

What you see is a lot of Razorback Red in there. And, yes, fortune NEEDS to start smiling on us. (1 - 3 so far this year). Better days on the horizon.

Thanks for visiting
