Hey Gerard

Great to hear from you, and I had been wondering what you were up to as well.

Getting back into my shop and I have a few projects on the bench.

Best Regards

Herb

I got some ideas kicking around but been not been getting involved in any projects. Thanksgiving to New Years at work is busy so honestly I just been enjoying parking cars in garage and keeping it tidy.

Hey Herb, how are things going in your neck of the woods?

It's been a couple of weeks since you posted here, so I thought I'd check up on you.

Cheers.

Thanks for your inquiry!! Things are going very well here. I got my 2016 Trout Fishing Magazine. That makes me oil up reels and check my tackle box!! It has been a bit since I posted, and will do so in a few days!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Best Regards
Herb

I was thinking the same thing Mark

Herb, how are you?

Hugo

Thanks for your thinking of me!! All is well and with our oddly warm weather this last week, I have been out making my garden for next spring!!

Thanks, and I am hoping all is well with you and yours!

Best Regards

Sometimes solutions drop out of the sky. The wife gave me this box and I had no idea what to do with it. Spray paint is hard to corral without a lot of shelf space. Idea forms and this is the result. I promise I had no prior knowledge it would fit under the bench so neatly! Sometimes things just work out well. This makes for a nice day. Now and then you win without trying!

Best Regards
Herb

Unused bin, unused floor space, problem solved. Love it when small solutions like that just happen when you don't expect it and really give a satisfying result.
Make sure the Mrs. gets extra thanks!

I will and did give her my thanks for the bin. I have to think "what are the odds of that box fitting like a glove under the bench"? I built that bench many years ago. Thanks for your comments and stopping by!

Now it's all about small engine get ready for spring. Two riders, two SP walkbehinds, two blowers, three weed eaters, two chainsaws, one pole saw,one garden tiller. I am going thru all of them next few days.
I got service parts for everything. Got a spark tester and air gauge too! I like every thing to start on the first (or second) crank or pull!!! I will be busy on this for a few days. It's all about small engine powered equipment!!

Best Regards
Herb

You normally have all your good wife's pots inside at this time of the year.... Where are they hiding?:dunno:

Great use of space with the spay can tub. Couldn't have planned that one :) nice when things just work like that.

Herb I don't think I will tire of seeing photos of your shop. In fact you could post the same photo every day and we'd be happy campers.

Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks for your visit. I like to have all my equipment ready to go before the heat sets in. I got all new blades for the mowers last year, so it will just take a little touch of the grinder on those.

They are in there, hanging from the ceiling, and stuffed behind saws and other cabinets and tools. I give them a cup of water every two weeks (on instructions) if I remember it.

Scored another typewriter stand at the flea market today. I like these for power tool stands. I have several in use like the one shown with my Blade runner on it.
Today's find will be modified and painted to use for my Belt Disc Sander.
I got the stand for $10.00 and it is in great shape.

Best Regards
Herb Spencer

That's a awesome re purposing of that stand considering they probably held those old heavy typewriters.

Herb, that's one nice stand and it is just right.

I have found these stands in various places. The best ones were made in the 60s and 70s. For power tools they need to be heavy duty steel. I like the portability and height. I have a small table saw on one. They are getting harder to find now.

I wish I had a couple of these and also the old metal military hospital bedside cabinets to go with the ones I have gotten over the years. This stuff was well made and strong. Works great with built their built in casters.

Really like the looks of the legs and feet on that stand. A little art deco in styling and will look classic in your shop.

New style Craftsman tool that Santa brought. They work ok but a little too "new school" for my likes. Caution on the adjustable wrench. It slipped and gave a bruised right hand. The spiraling 3/8 ratchet could be handy. The nut driver set is just ok. No big deal. Made to sell. Nothing here recommended.

My son got me the ratchet for christmas and the crescent I got for myself. Thinking about ordering the speeder screwdriver seems it could be handy in certain areas.
