So when you were waiting for the trout to attack your line, what projects did you decide to work on next? We know there was some mind wandering about something to be done....

Captain14

Thanks for stopping by! My mind wanders constantly on things that need to be done or at least begun. However fishing does calm me and become my focus for the time I am doing it.

Yes, I have many things stacked up and waiting, but that's life I supose!!

Best Regards
Herb

You've got the whole place looking great Herb. Nicely laid out garden. You should be eating good from that later this summer.

Herb, your place looks beautiful. It's obvious you and your wife have worked very hard to not only get it that way but also to maintain it. Great job!

I have a question about the water feature in the 2nd pic of post #1487 I think. Do you always have to keep adding water to it? We have one that's similar to yours but not quite as tall. It seems between some water splashing out and evaporation we have to add water almost everyday. Just wondering.

Again, you have the place looking great.

Hi Lyndon

We are in the start of our summer. The weather has been very nice after about a month of rains! Good for the garden though.

Thanks for your kind comments on the place. I do have to add water to the bird fountain about every two or three days. I also keep a little fish tank net close to keep the leaves and debris out, and it works well. The Robins like to take long baths and splash out a lot of water at times. We really enjoy watching them.

Best Regards
Herb

Thanks for the feedback Herb. That's kinda' what I figured on the bird fountain. Guess adding water every few days is to be expected with this type of water fountain. We enjoy ours also.
Thanks again.

Hi Herb,

I finally finished reading your thread. I really enjoyed it!!! You have done a lot with the space you have. I enjoy your restorations and your friendly attitude. And your shop made art deco signs!!!

I grew up in KC. We used to vacation in Eureka Springs pretty often. Are you near there? There used to be a cafe in the downtown area that had huckleberry pancakes that were to die for!!! It's a beautiful part of the country!!!

Take care, I will be sure to stop by when this thread is updated!!!

Thanks for the visit! I consider it a compliment when someone has interest to read the thread as you have. We live in North West Arkansas and do visit Eureka often. I may have sampled the pancakes you speak of. Wife's brother lives in KC, so we are visiting there now and then as well.

Thanks so much for your very kind comments. I am very pleased to meet you.

Best Regards
Herb

Herb, you should wait until it warms up a little more. Or do what I do and wait until the afternoon to get started.

Bob

Everything was going well until I ran into a rock too big for my wife to dig out.
I will make a few adjustments and finish up in the morning.

Best Regards

Too hot to do landscaping today. Instead played with tools in shade. Made the wife a wall planter and house for her chickens. Bye bye chickens from my shop!. Not much luck with new Arrow stapler. Might be operater headspace and timing but I doubt it. Dewalt air stapler (hoorah!) and no problem.
