I'm going to grab the HF44 bottom chest this week, and I'm trying to figure out if it will fit in my car.

I have a mazda3 hatchback. If I remove it from the pallet and cardboard box, and remove the casters... On paper I can lay it down on it's back and slide it in with the seats folded down. But that's "on paper". Anyone with real-world experience putting that size chest in a small vehicle?

That **** will fit, if you say the measurements fit then it does. I got a 56" box in my golf.

I say go for it bud.

I took the 44" home in my Subaru Forester. Had to take it out of the crate and also remove one caster to get past the wheel well. Only issue was I put a bit of a wrinkle in the right side panel. Doesn't show much where it is in my garage. Just be careful and you should be fine.

I got a 41 inch craftsman premium heavy duty in my protege5, the precursor to your mazda 3. Had to take off the casters but it fit. The loading dock guys at sears took one look at my car and said no way. I told them to shut up and load it in. Low and behold, it fit with room to spare. Needless to say they were a bit shocked and embarrassed.

I wrangled a buddy with a murano to help. I guess I was more concerned about not wanting to make two trips to get the 7 drawer side cabinet. Now it will be no problem

when I worked at sears, i once had a guy roll up in a corvair for a snowblower. I kinda looked at him like "how the hell", but he put the top down, him and i picked it up, put it in the back seat, he put the top off and drove away. Didn't work so well the next day with the lady and the PT Cruiser vert though...

Same.

A Mazda 3 is a little bit more rounder in terms of its storage area, but similar in overall size to first/second generation foresters.

I'd say go for, but take it out of the box and take the casters off.

I own a 1st Gen toyota matrix, it fit but you need to take off the casters. Only problem you may come up with is if your seats don't fold flat.

Bring a partner, you'll need the help. It's more bulky than heavy.
