Just received a Wiha precision driver set, and it comes with nut drivers down to 1.5mm. I've never encountered a nut or bolt smaller than 4mm, I'm curious what kind of machine has 1.5, 2 or 2.5mm bolts. Anyone work with stuff that small?

dental implant abutments are pretty small...not exactly a machine though but they do use torque wrenches to tighten them up

If it was smaller than the sockets in an SK metric/sae set, I have used a pliers on it. And a bead holder to remove / unthread / rethread back on.

The screws on my 1/4" metric swivel set were tiny..cant remember the size. People said to put anti seize on them but the first one I pulled already had it so I didn't bother..

My father was big into vario rc helicopters made his own parts and all sort of stuff. The servo linkages and similar part are by far the smallests fastener I had ever handled. You basically need hemostats or tweezers to handle them... I’m not sure about those mini Copters, I’d imagine you would need loops just to see what your doing...

I have a pair of sunglass with a flat head screw into a 1.5mm nut the nut is counter sunk into the frame tho so I never have to use anything to tighten it just a flat head screw driver.

I use 0000-160 nuts, bolts and all thread on 1/25-1/24th scale model cars for steering and suspension attachments. This is about .02 dia. in the real world and scales to a 1/2" for the model stuff. Looks right at that scale.

This engine has a bunch of miniature screws in it to assemble the throttle linkage.

Smaller then 0000, I don't remember what size they were. The front suspension and steering has the 0000 stuff and it looks scale.
