So I've wanted to know this information for quite some time, but is the smallest slotted screwdriver size 3/32 or is there a even smaller size on the market.

Thanks for any help.

I've got a jewelers screwdriver bit set that has flat head bits that go down to 1.0mm or about 1/32".

The hex, torx, and phillips in that kit do down that small as well.

For "mechanics" drivers the smallest you are likely to see is about 1/8 +or-

"jewelers" drivers go to about .025 or so as mentioned, but watchmakers probably go even smaller...

Smallest Wiha makes is 0.8mm (0.0315"). As others have said, you can probably go smaller if you look for the specialty jeweler's/watchmakers suppliers.

Plasmatic: You sir are beyond awesome, now to only figure out the manufacturer model number/part number on that and I'll be set.

Outlaw: I see, so with mechanics it's 1/8, but with jeweler's, the diameter can go up to 0.25, but that makes sense watch maker slotted would be smaller.

JJrmx5: Wow, didn't know they made torx that small. Just out of curiosity, what brand is that kit? I know torx does come in precision, but never heard of that small before.

Fivespdcat: Do you have any recommendations (websites, brands) to get a slotted that small. I want to get a friend who works on watches and glasses, so this would make for a great gift.

I've tried the Craftsman precision line and the head of one of those "precision line" nearly shattered in half even though I only applied minor force.

Plasmatic, thanks again for that information though. That is really helpful information.

You guy's really have been really helpful, thank you very much.

Micro-Tools may have some other brands of tiny drivers -- they started out specializing in camera repair tools and branched into other tiny applications. For instance, here is a set that goes down to 0.025" I found in a random search just now:

I think it depends on how much you want to spend. Watch tools can get quite expensive. I've heard some of the best were bergeon, but never used them before.

Plasmatic: Thank you for those links, especially to all of their product lines. You really came through for me and that is something I am really grateful for.

Thank you for providing the model numbers as well. I like pictures of tools (as in the tiny tool thread) but without a manufacturer model number/part number/catalog number, there isn't much I can do to track down the item.

Mdbeck1: Thanks for the link, I've actually posted in that thread. Neat tools, just wish I could find the mfr. number of some of those tools.

Fivespdcat: You have a valid point there. I can see how quality watch tools can easily become pricy, as only a very small portion of the world has a use for tools such as those.

Bergeon you say? I've never heard of them either, but they sound like they cool though. Will check them out though.
