smart 7-11 vise?

Hey all I know theirs a large percent of you guys who collect old vices here. Has anybody ever seen or know about a smart vise? Its marked smart 7-11 is aprox 3" on the jaw width and swivels with a single lock? I'll post pics in the morning as i left it in my buddys truck but its a neat little vise I cant find any info on google though thanks :beer:

Yes its almost identical to that which you pictured :beer:
What's the scoop on it? Seems like a reasonably well built little vise with a fair bit of weight behind it got her for 5$ at a junk sale today


I know nothing about it. But at $5 I'd say it's a good little user if you need a light duty vise.

Hi. I have the same vise. Smart Vises were made in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. They were made by James Smart. His company was Huge, it will be a good quality vise.

Thank you, any idea if parts are still available? Somewhere! I have an identical to the one on the picture

The James Smart plant in Brockville closed in 1967, after operating for over 100 years. Parts are sadly not available.
The 7-11 was one of the utility vise line. More about them in this post:
