Looked like a goofy case, but I wanted a bolt heater, this one had a nice price, extra coils and yes, a carry case.

Pulled it out of the shipping carton, wife says “looks like you could take that to band practice, I wonder if they got overstock from the Chinese clarinet factory?”

I might have given her a “ to the moon, Alice!” But when I ordered it and told her what it cost, “sounds like a good idea” was her response.

Will put it to use first with stuck thumb bolts in the ice cream maker.

It’s too big to be a clarinet case. Those are small. Could be a saxophone, though.

Looking forward to Your review after putting this heater to the test. I doubt I am the only JG Member that is thinking one should be on their get list.

Yup, I've been debating picking one up. Want to see some more real reviews on the Chinese versions vs buying the more expensive option.

Not the most ******** test but I went after the bolts on the old ice cream maker. Tried penetrating oil - nothing wouldn’t budge

Manual says the heat for four seconds or so, but I think most anything takes longer than that. I didn’t want to go gonzo and heating it red hot because I wasn’t sure how sturdy the metal was.

Hit it like 20 seconds tried it. It didn’t move then gave it another 20 seconds, and then it wiggle loose enough with the pliers that I could horse them out with penetrating oil.

I have two rusty pick up trucks, so I’m sure it’ll get a chance to prove itself completely.

If one has rusty bolts, and unless one is destitute, it pretty much goes into the “oh hell yes”category

Not to be rude but what type of money are we talking about? That looks right up my alley, depending on the price. Also how awkward is it to get into a tight space?

I like the sax case too! Ignore the haters!

No problem $220 including tax free prime shipping.

One can order it without the cool case, for a few buck less.

Fitwise, it's like a large die grinder so not everywhere.

Good thing is on can buy insulated wire and make their own coils even where wire is just wrapped around something then plugged in could probably make pretty long coils not sure it matters

Coil length = inductance. The more inductance changes the frequency response on the unit. Not to mention the large losses generated by the leads split apart. I have the Venom unit, it works but is slow to heat objects in my view. I’m also use to larger power supplies, 5 kW on up to 3 MW. Induction heating is an interesting science. Induction heating was one of the first commercial use of electricity. It’s that old!

Took it to the big leagues.

Went from “hell yes!” to “**** ya!” On the Chevy rust bucket it will see a lot of work

If you ever have to reluctantly get out the torch you need a unit like these.

Never have used a bolt heater, but looks pretty useful here in the rust belt. Regardless, I got a kick out of Mrs Zen's sense of humor.
