Smart Craigslist Searches

Dunno if this has been posted here before, but I've been using the following site for awhile with pretty good success. Searchtempest.com is a search filter that lets you specify what you're looking for and how far away from your zip code you'd like to look. If I'm looking for something I might be willing to drive a couple of hours for -- cars and other big stuff, usually -- the search displays nearby city listings in addition to my local ones. Not the greatest user interface, but it saves a lot of repetitive searches if you're within driving distance of several craigslist zones.

If there are other/better sites like this out there, I'd love to hear about them.

That site is just okay in my opinion.

Many months ago craiglook.com used to do the same thing but 100 times better. It would put the results on one scrollable page and not 30 different individual pages. I found MANY excellent tool deals with craiglook.com. It was so good infact that craigslist told them they were not allowed to continue searching their site or they would sue. Sure enough, that was the end of that amazing site.

I have found yourlist.com to be good as well.

This is my go to for searching CL by state . I can search Indiana or KEntucky or Tennessee quick and painless.

I've used craigzoom a few times. Will have to try the others out. I've noticed the search bar is gone when you google craigslist now, that is what I used to use.

Best site to use for searching Craigs list is

http://www.allofcraigs.com/

You will never use anything else. It works great and it automatically opens up the results in a new tab versus moving away from the original page.

The main reason I like it is because it will allow you to search be region which defaults to every city within an 8 hour drive for me.
