And so it begins. New construction home we just moved into. The garage will spend most of it's time housing our two daily drivers. It's a very shallow garage and my truck only fits in the far bay. The goal is to have a garage that keeps everything hidden and clean/uncluttered while still being functional. Swisstrax tiles are on the way. Gladiator Garageworks cabinets on the way. Husky toolboxes on the way.

First thing to do is decide if i need some sort of border around the bottom with the floors like rubber baseboards to seal up the drywall. As the garage stands now.

Nice clean slate! Curious to the dimensions, wife and I looked at a reverse 1.5 story new construction over the weekend and the third bay was slightly more shallow at 18' deep on the outside and the two main bays were about 20' deep, so kind of the opposite what yours is. Looking forward to your progress, sounds like you have a solid idea of your end goal.

A little progress today. Started on the rubber wall base today. Also had to change up on the shelfs in the back corner. Went with a rack type setup instead. It's 2' deep by 8' tall. The larger section is 80" long and the smaller 40" long. Fits the space very well. Will have the rest of the rack put together and load some bins for storage on it tomorrow. Hopefully will free up some work space to start on the floor this or next weekend.

Finally got the racks fully installed and leveled. Hammer drill didn't do anything so ended up renting a roto hammer. Roto hammers are the way to go.

A little closer. Still working on the edging of the flooring and where the toolbox will go. Originally it was supposed to go next to the water heaters. Long story short the water heaters had to be moved out 7 inches from the wall. It threw off all the plans and now the box won't fit with the side box on. Here's where I'm at so far.

Still trying to figure out the water heaters. Almost done though. May build a wall around them, may leave them as is.

You should do a high lift on those doors along with the Liftmaster Jackshaft opener. You will have much more overhead clearance.
Looks good.
