Smilies Panel Off

How can I suppress the Smilies Panel that shows during posting a new thread? Truly annoying.

I'd like to be able to disable all animated images - is that possible?

In the black band near the top of the page, click "USER CP"

Left side of screen, under "Settings & Options" Click "Edit Options"

Sub heading "Thread Display Options", Uncheck "Show Images"

Scroll down to bottom of page, Click "Save Changes"

No joy! Still have the VERY obnoxious flashing icons in the Smilies panel on the right side of the editor window. I have to push the browser window far right to move the panel off screen.

You're not going to get rid of the Smilies Panel.
