Have an older smith that leaks pretty good, and dad killed his 17” model today. I know they say lifetime warranty, but this abuse, will they repair it for a fee and maybe fix the leaker if I send them in?

I know Smith's warranty changed a bit when they got bought out by ITW. I doubt they'll replace the crushed one, but they're normally pretty good about repairing seals and bad braze joints and whatnot.

I have my LWS handle torch repairs. I don't know who they send it to, but I had them rebuild a Smith heavy duty torch that had been through a structural fire and it works like new. I did pay a fee for that since it clearly wasn't Smith's fault the building burned down around the torch set.
