Hello,

What other differences are there between these two 1/2" torque wrenches besides the foot pounds?

Snap-On ATECH3FR250A 12.5-250 ft.lb.

Snap-On ATECH3FR250 25-250 ft.lb.

UPS delivered the ATECH3FR250 torque wrench today, and I'm happy to see this, but a bit confused now. Mfg date is Feb 06. The specs and handle say 25-250 ft.lbs. While settings go all the way down to 12.5 ft.lbs.

What gives?

Trust the digital 25-250 scale and not what the digital below 25 ft pounds is saying.

My Craftsman digital torque wrenches do the same thing and can be twisted down below advertised scale.

The difference is the battery cap was redesigned. On the first ones, the cap came loose very easily when using the torque wrench.
