I recently got a 3/8" 7.2v lithium impact and love it so i was looking at the 18v lithium 1/2" impact. However the site says that item has zero warrenty so now im a bit worrjed the items quality might be questionable anyone have one and want to chime in? Id still keep my air powered as a back up and for the toughest bults but the cordless is really an appealing aspect to me all the sudden.

Are the lithiums new? I remember reading on here some of the Snap on die hards saying how NiCad is superior due to Snap On sticking with it.

Snap-On lithium is far superior to Snap-On NiCad but if there is no Snap-On lithium then Snap-On NiCad is far superior to just plain old Lithium.

Just like any power tool; they will eventually wear out, snapon does have the flat fee repair program which can be a great deal and they sell parts if you want or need to fix things yourself. If the batteries are expensive; you might consider having the batteries repacked by vendors online or places locally like battereiesplus.com Its just like having a power tool from anyone else; the good things is there is service to back up your purchase.

Awesome and thanks guys. I am test driving one right now for the week. So if i like it ill get it. I was just worried about the durability mostly considering the warrenty is less time and the product is something iv never used before or anything like it.

I test drove the lithium 1/2" impact from snap on all week and tomorrow I am probably going to buy one if the dealer gives me a decent deal. Anyway, I really like it the wait isnt as heavy as I expected and the power is plenty for small trucks and cars. I love the fact that I am not constantly removing the air hose to switch tools and I like the fact that I have no hose to trip or drag around obstacles. That is what attracted me to it really. Just put the socket on and go to work. The battery on the demo model didnt really last all day but I suspect its pretty old so I am happy with it. The demo model is probably pretty beat up to so considering all that I am pretty happy with it and will probably get one.

I dont think I have any complaints other then the 1 year warranty but according to the review and people on here I shouldnt have to worry about this gun for a few years. So the plan is to get this and keep the MG725 as my back up.

Thanks, for the impute guys.
