Yeah, I don't think that is that bad. The list on my Cornwell 1/2 30 tooth ratchet is $112 and its not a flex. Since this is a Snap-On, flex-head, and 80 teeth, I'm not surprised.

My SLH80 is $144.00 and that is non flex with comfort grip.

For those who have not tried one of these, you are in for a treat. Trust me guys; if you think the 3/8 80 tooth ratchets are smooth, wait till you feel the action on one of these.

I use 1/2" drive sockets as much as 1/4 and 3/8 combined. I can't wait to try an S80. I ordered a T72 and F80 and am looking forward to them. If the S80 is as smooth and strong as it is supposed to be, I may sell my S710 and move my S832 to my back up.
