Snap On 1/4" T936 Rebuild Question

First off, hello all. I've been using this site a lot for research on different tool to minimize the cost of building my set for a while now. I have a quick question for anyone who could answer it and I have tried searching and couldn't find the answer so I apologize if this was already discussed. I have a snap on 1/4" t936 ratchet that I have had for years now and am rebuilding it. I was wondering if I can rebuild this ratchet with the RKRT72A kit. Would like to have one with higher tooth count but don't want to spend the money for a complete new ratchet if I could just rebuild it with a different tooth count.

The 72 tooth kit wont fit, only the 36 tooth kit. Different design. The 936 series ratchets are still nice either way.

Thanks for the quick replies. And yes, still love this ratchet. I don't buy a lot high end tools, but Snap On ratchets are my favorite.

Make sure you lube it up when you install new guys. I don't think snap on includes the lube with the kit. You can use Vaseline. It will make a big difference.

Snap On includes small tube of Super Lube in their rebuild kits

Order the SPP744 special service tool for setting the plunger ball in place. The tool is worth 10 times what they're asking for it.

I have an ugly older F71 that works fine, but rusted badly at some point. Can I take the guts out of it and use them to rebuild an F70?
