Just invested in the 14.4v Snap On cordless platform, got the 3/8 impact and the 1/4 ratchet. What sold me was the rocker switch on the 3/8 impact. Good purchase?

I personally dropped all .y 14.4v stuff. Not because I didn't like it, just because I was amassing so many milwaukee m12 and m18 that it was a pain to keep track of 3 battery types and chargers. I think snap on cordless stuff as a whole is overpriced for what it is(far more so than their hand tools), the only exception being the 14.4v line. The 3/8" impact is so freakin nice. I love the rocker switch, and the amount of power for its size is awesome. Theres some nice lights, and their ratchets were my favorites up until Milwaukee came out with the fuel versions. They still hold their own, and are def 2nd best. Also if you're invested in the line check out the sander/polisher. That's the only tool I seriously regret selling, as milwaukee's M12 version doesn't come close to the power of the snappy. Great for rolocs/gasket surface clean up

It goes either way, commenter above me prefers his m12 over his 14.4, I’m the opposite. I also own both. It’s a pain, but I love the rocker switch on the snap on, and the power for me on certain tools is higher, Milwaukee states there’s is higher but I have a m12 fuel 3/8 ratchet and a 14.4 3/8 ratchet, and my snap on definitely out performs. People will say the opposite, it’s really to each their own. I LOVE my 14.4 tools, especially the 3/8 impact.

I say no. overpriced and expensive repair, power tools are something snapon not excel at and other brands do better and for less .
