Snap on 18 Volt Lithium Batteries

Has anyone out there heard about the recall on the 18 volt lithium batteries? I had one go out, got it replaced under warranty, then now 1 month later the one i got is acting weird. I told my dealer about it and he said all the lithium batteries are being recalled. Anyone know what was wrong, what they did to fix, and if there are any physical differences with the new ones?

part numbers have changed twice, I'm on my second set, no questions asked.

only thing I could tell was that the batteries failed when it got cold. and this year it was 17 degrees in central texas. So the batteries were a 1 for 1 exchange no ?'s asked by anyone. Customers were thrilled when I handed them a new battery without telling them I was bringing one for them.
ctb6187. these are doing fine here and it is 37degrees this am and mine worked fine on the truck.
