I was wondering where I can find the replacement Chuck because I can't find it on the website and I don't have a dealer? I know I can send it in for flat rate repair but its pricey.
Has anyone ever had one of these go bad? Mine is slipping and I can't even drill metal now, only wood. It just makes what sounds to me like a gear tooth grinding noise when it starts to work hard. Almost like hammering an impact but more high pitch and quicker. Then the drill doesn't rotate when that happens, it just slips.
I think the problem is the Chuck? And I think the failure was caused by using the drill motor to crack loose the Chuck to change bits quicker instead of unscrewing the Chuck to open the jaws by hand..
