I was over at Costco yesterday and seen the Snap-on 20 gal air compressor for $200. I've been looking for a larger (to me) compressor for some time but the cost has blown bu budget. I currently have the 8 gal Campbell Hausfeld and the noise of that thing in a 12x24 garage is enough to drown a tank. For the $$$ and the time that I use my compressor I feel that 20 gal will be sufficient and at $200 this suites my budget. Here's the specs on the Snap-on: Anyone has any experience or comments on this unit?

"NEW" SNAP-ON AIR COMPRESSOR
-20 GALLON
-2 HP COMPRESSOR
-5.1 CFM @ 40 PSI
-4.1 CFM @ 90 PSI
- 125 PSI MAX PRESSURE
-HEAVY DUTY CAST IRON PUMP

It's not made by Snap-On. It's a re-branded, everything you see on Snap-On stuff at Costco or any hardware stores.

edit: it seems okay for light duty from my research. 4.1 CFM @ 90 PSI is on the edge with 1/2 impact wrench.

I have a 25 gallon, use it for DIY work. 1/2" impact, air ratchet, 1/4" die grinder, etc. About the only thing you won't be able to do with a 20-30 gal 110v unit is sand blasting, painting, and using an air powered sander.

If your little CH compressor was putting out enough air for you, then the SO rebranded unit will suite your needs just fine. Also, it's your money...if you like it and it's within your budget, buy it.
