snap on 27mm 3/8" drive socket.

Anyone know what this socket is ment for. I picked it up on a whim but the dealer couldn't get a description on it. I want to use it on oil sending units but it may not work. If not no big deal I'll find a use for it.

part # A127 = Mercedes 1.8 oil filter nut? 3/8 drive 27mm. Whats the part number on your socket?

I have not seen one that big still marked a standard socket but as stated before Will probably start with an a in part number for specific applications

a 27mm deep is what i use for oil pressure sensors, never got around to picking up a designated oil pressure socket, should be fine as long as space is available and the plug fits under it

It was said for fuel filter on import vehicle but I got it for ford ICP and other sensors that require 1 1/16 socket but this one is semi deep and fit in good.

Sorry the part was at work when u wrote this. Part number A227. It's a 3/8" drive and it's as deep as a shallow 1/2" drive socket. But is a really hour socket on the inside. It's a gamble I guess if it's going to work. I normally use a 27mm deep 1/2" drive but I've been worried I would ruin into a situation where that was to much for the right motor compartments.

As I said though if it doesn't work I'll find a use for it.
