Snap on 3/8 Flex head -- Was this head changed ??

just picked this up in a toolbox I just purchased. What appears to be a Snap on 3/8 flex head rachet. But I have never seen a head like this, I am thinking now that maybe it was changed ? anyone recognize it ??

You might want to check out an old 20's - 40's SO catalog to see if they ever used that design.Might have been a prototype.Does the swivel pin have any hammer or punch marks suggesting it was swapped out ? I have never seen that design but if it is legit Its way before my time.

I dunno the Model Number, But it is a Vintage Snap on Round Head and they did offer it in Flex.
