Looks like a newer snap on ratchet. I'd say made with in the last 10-15 years. I've got an underhood found prybar with the same handle on it.

Can't see the date stamp too well . It's the marking to the left of F835.
It looks like it could be a 7 or a slanted Z. Could be from 1982, 85, 87.

A pic of that stamp would help.

I bought one just like it new off the truck back in 1995, it was a new design at that time with no soft aluminum cap over the main gear. These were the model that came out just before the first sealed ratchets.

I sold one of these in the Classifieds section recently. The date code on it was 1997. I believe that this model was Snap-on's first commercially available sealed ratchet design.
