Snap-on 4"in. 1/2"drive #2263 E information please.

I cannot find another 1 like this. I know it was mfg. From 1942-1945 for the US military and is the only tool Snap-on does not cover under their lifetime warranty. The E-code would suggest a manufacturing date of 1944, but I thought I read that the true emergency code tools were manufactured from 1942-1945 and have a 4 digit # and the letter E And that's all.
This fits that description. I have seen SW-160 ES AND others never anything like this. Any help is appreciated. Ty

Ty for your help. I have never looked at it as if it could be an s, never thought of it. I read it as a 5 through a jewelry loupe. Now I have looked again it could be an S. Would you have any more info.. I really appreciate your help.

S3 was an extension, looks like they added a 22 to it

Ty for clearing this up. I still cannot find an E code S3 or 22s3. Are they that rare, Or am I just that dumb? I do a lot of research for my business and I am familiar with the necessary tools to help and I can't find 1. Also if this is not allowed I apologize, but would you have a guess at value? Ty again. I really appreciate your knowledge.

I found this wartime extension on May 22. It looked as if someone had used it as a drift so I dressed up the end where it was belled out. I probably threw it in with the Snap-on spares.
