I've been pretty happy with the recent Black Diamond fine grit coal slag I picked up at TSC since for the price and kick *** cleaning power I thought I couldn't go wrong.

My only complaint which I am not sure if it's the type of media or the way my bottom hopper and suction hose is designed, after a few minutes of use I end up with a void at the bottom where my suction hose inlet is and thus no media being sucked up through the hose. It's almost acting like the media isn't falling back down in the center to be picked up again. I have to bang on the walls to knock it back down which every few minutes gets to be a pain in the ***. I thought about adding some more thinking it would make it a bit heavier but it's still piling up on the sides and not dropping back in the center. I do have both water traps on my compressor and a small one installed on the cabinet so I know the media stays dry.

The reviews for that media don't mention anyone else having issues like this and for the most part everyone loves this stuff. My SO dealer says these units are pretty much designed for glass bead media only which I am finding hard to believe.

This is similar to the cabinet I have btw...
