I use this Snap On / Big Red compressor (120v) fairly regularly (2x week). I drain it once every few weeks or so. When I bought it the drain was clogged with rusty water, I got it clear and then rinsed this inside of the tank and it's been great for years.

I change the compressor oil every few years.

Is there anything else I should be doing to this monster, especially to the tank.

Thank you!

Drain it after every use and leave the petcock open when not in use. Replace the oil at least every 6 months. Based on your usage I would change it every quarter.

my shop compressor used daily and don't get oil change more than yearly.
OP don't use it for more than 8 days in a month so annual all I do at best.
4 times a year be waste of money and oil .

Mine has had a couple stretches where the switch hasn't been off for 10 years. The blue backup has been in 20 with the same oil. Modern oil can be good for the life of the unit in many cases.
The bolt bin moved and can take it out with 2 connections in about 5 minutes. Last time I had it out was bearings in the motor and then a cap puked. Had only 5 years on the Amsoil is in it, popped it back in. If it needs, repair will service it if and when.

Most compressors have service info in run time hrs .
one thing worth checking/cleaning regular is air filter as these can get messy pretty quick and more so in dusty shops .
