I saw these posted on craigslist last night and gave the guy a call this morning and he still had them. I called up my dad and he and I rode about 30 minutes away and picked them up for $75. I can't find a date stamped into the snap on or Cornwell box anywhere but there are a ton of recipts from MAC, Snap On and Cornwell inside of them that range from 1955 to 1962 so I am guessing they were made somewhere in that time frame. Inside the boxes there are a ton of NOS ford ignition parts like rotors, points, condensers etc. Going through the boxes was allot of fun reading all of the guys pay stubs from the late 50's where he was making like $177 a week being a mechanic and finding aspirin bottles full of aspirin from the 50's. I must have 20 autolite/motorcract electric chokes, needle and seats, floats etc as well. I even found some NOS Studebaker ignition parts still in their paper bags. All of the tools are made in the US and most are craftsman. There are a bunch of wrenches that he cut off for some reason and they are all Blue Point. There is a little 4 legged stand that has a drawer in it as well that the top box sits on. I think it may be home made but whoever made it did a excellent job. Does anyone have any idea when these boxes were made and what model they are?
