I found this set on craigslist, they look a bit rusted. what should be a good price for these, because the price listed seems too high considering the condition.

and don't say SO will warrenty them easily because my SO dealer is an ***

They are Snap On, but nothing great, and in low demand. I would offer him$80. If he says no, give him your number and walk away. Believe me, no one is calling him.

A quick search on the Snap-On site shows that to be just a bit over $1200 at full retail for the newer versions. This is purely a guess because he doesn't list every size in that ad, and I believe there is one left out in that range. The 3/8" to 1 1/4" set (which excludes 1 3/16") from the Snap-On site is $766.25 with the bigger sizes adding on $100+, each.

I saw that ad and passed it up because I didn't think what they are worth to me and what they are worth to him would ever get to a price we would both agree on. I don't have a pressing need for that style wrench, although I would like to pick some up eventually.

Look at completed listing on eBay for fair price

But I am thinking 2-250 range at best

Have you looked at Bonney I believe Harry Epstein still has new stock on angle wrenches too

How much does the Caterpillar 3/8 to 1 1/4 angle wrench (made by Snap-On)set cost in the States? It might be worth a look, I have that set and it is great, and was much cheaper than the equivalent Snap-On set. Just something to think about if you are having trouble finding a second hand Snap-On set at a good price.

Recently I spoke to a CAT dealer who has the set as old stock from a contract. He is selling it for $315 so you might call around. SnapOn sells the set to CAT for something like $165, it was on the website just two weeks ago until I tried to buy it lol you can still see the original part numbers if you look up 1P-3501 through 3514.
