Although they weren't sold at Costco, for years there have been calendars, clocks, die-cast cars and trucks, keychains, knives, mugs, plates, towels, and who knows what else with the Snap-on name on them. By making these souvenirs available, Snap-on is increasing its revenue and adding to its brand recognition, as well as making things more interesting for collectors. This stuff doesn't bother me at all. Some of it is pretty neat, like the Snap-on bar stools and floor mats I bought for my shop.
What matters to me is that Snap-on tools and toolboxes retain their quality and value, and I don't see that changing.
