Snap-On Battery Cable Puller Part Question

I've got a question for anyone who owns a CJ92 and is willing to help.

I recently found an older one that is missing the piece on the end of the screw post that presses against the top of the battery post. Other than buying a whole new screw post from Snap-On, does anyone know where I might obtain a replacement for the missing piece?

Thanks

Thanks, but I can't warranty it because I got it second hand.

I don't think a nut will work either because it has to be free-spinning; that's how it is on the complete ones I've seen. It looks like the missing part was press-fit over a protusion on the end of the screw. I'm thinking some kind of rubber bumper might work but I'm not sure where to look for such a thing.

It's not the name on the tool but your name that matters. If you're not spending any money, any dealer is probably going to jerk you around just for sport. And he should.
Want a good warranty? Then don't be picking leftovers and trying to get a freebie. Any Matco, Mac, Cornwell, or Snap-on dealer can warranty any other brand's tools, it just takes an extra week. They've done it for me many times to keep me from doing the deal myself. Sometimes even loaner/demo tools are offered.
IOW, if you buy stuff a good dealer will put effort into making your tools work and you happy with the results. (And a payment to make every week forever, almost like going to church:evil:.) But that's just business when there's a need for cash flow.
They seem to like users who find weak points, but not abusers who mangle stuff. But I'm sure the guy stocking the truck and fueling it up dreams of sending his kids to school, too, so money talks no matter what.

Uh... thanks, I guess. I didn't try to warranty it because I'm not the original owner and I understand that's Snap-On's policy. I have no complaint with the company; I'm just trying to find a part that'll work.

Duh, sorry to seem so harsh but all the dealers I've known will bend over backwards to make things work for you but you gotta buy stuff! Then the genius comes out.
Original owner don't mean squat. Relationship, especially cash flow, means you are a tool user and paying for it. Nothing wrong with that because it's business.
Maybe you like Cornwell or Craftsman tools better than other brands. Whatever the case may be your dealer can deal with other vendors to get stuff covered. But they're all in it to make a buck so you have to deal with someone.
I think you can pay some bucks on this and that and marvel that the other stuff got handled for you.

Is this a broken tool or a lost part? If it's broken email snap on with just the basic details, leaving out the 2nd owner part, and they will take care of you. If there is a missing part and not a warranty issue then either buy the missing part or figure out a way to make it work.

I'm pretty sure the part you need is CJ92-5B. The price is $3.20. You can order it from Snapon.com or have your dealer order it for you.
