Snap-On Bedliner Top vs. Stainless Steel

The older Bedliner tops were prone to peeling, but I have been told that the newest ones have the issue resolved. Supposedly the newer material is also a bit smoother?

Curious what y’all think.

The stainless steel is easier to clean, but Bedliner looks better.

Stainless! Well...er...I guess it depends on how you use your toolbox. I rebuild messy stuff on mine and wipe it clean with spray cleaner and a rag. If you just use it to set things, the bedliner might be perfect. But it's not really wipable, and you can see stuff you spilled on it easily. I think the new stuff you are thinking about is legit LINEX and I have that on my truck bed. We use it for armored floors for helicopters at work. Rather have it as a walk surface than a work surface.

Former coworker had a Master series with a bed liner and has problems with it peeling. Had it warrantied once, then next one started doing the same. I would go for stainless, but I don’t do work on my toolbox. That’s what benches are for.

Stainless all the way. Easy to clean oil/grease/dust off of it and you can write on it.

Kennedy manufacturing company used to make a toolbox top out of laminated phenolic plies. That top was rock solid and dead nuts flat.
