I heard that all snap-on tools have stamped little mark or symbol on them, which implies the year of production.
Anyone knew more about it?

I would say most SO tools have a date-code, but not all...
That is what I am wondering, I have several second hand snap-on combination wrench, but have no date-code I think...anyone have snap-on tools without date code? Or is it possible that they are fake snap-on if no date code?

I just got a old set of SAE Snap On 4-way wrenches that did not have a date code on them.

I have lots of SO without date codes. Almost none of my extensions have them, many of the wrenches don't and even some ratchets. I bought most of it new off the truck so I have a high level of confidence it is genuine.

Not to say there is no SO counterfeit, just saying lack of a date code doesn't make it so.

Not really sure why they sometimes date code and sometimes not. Perhaps Snapmom or Chad_S have some insight.

Of course if they are marked "made in Pakistan" there may be a problem... :lol_hitti
