Snap on BJP1 BJP1F

Good morning,

Does anyone know if adapters from other brands of BALLJOINT PRESSES will work correctly? I have a chance to get a nice price on one an d it would be great if I could use the adaptors I have.

Don't know if you can use other adaptors on the Snapon, but goodnight, i have one and I haven't NEEDED any other adaptors. Used the **** out of it and it just keeps begging for more. I do a lot of work on 15 passenger & cargo vans and the ball joints go out all the time on those Fords. Best investment I've made (besides my box).

Yep BJP1 is king. he doesn't need anyone's help, except for MG725, but that's another story.

Watch the Youtube video that talks about it and why it doesn't need a ton of adapters, the system is quite ingenious.

I might be getting just the c-clamp with screw part ofthe kit. check out the picture. I'm wondering if my non snapon adapters might work.?

You could look at the app chart which is in PDF form and see if the vehicles you use your present adaptors on are on the chart and they should work. Also look at parts list for the set on Snap on site and they give dimensions for the adaptors and compare to your present adaptors.

Are you sure that is a BJP1? Everyone of them that I have seen (including mine) have a flange on the outer side of the clamp that is removed at the very back side to allow you to put the clamp in a vise. That looks my older control arm press from Snap-on. I don't think that press is setup for the snap together adapters either.

That looks like it might be one of their U-joint presses in the CJ puller line, like CJ-91D from 80's to 90's.

I'm pretty sure that is the older CJ-91 and not the BJP1. I'm not sure if the other brand adapters will work with it or not but the current BJP1 adapters will not work with it.

Turns out it is a CJ108B . I am so glad I scored this piece. This thing is a tank compared to the silver chinese ball joint presses that everyone is selling. If I lube this thing I dont think it will ever brake.

New generic KD tools, NAPA, LISLE , OTC, MATCO, Harbor Freight, Etc adapters will work with this press.

That is actually a truck brake pin remover that is no longer sold. The pullers in the CJ series ,well built,are great because you can repurpose them for alot of jobs and if you can use it with other ball joint adapters you're way ahead.
