Hi everyone, I am looking into purchasing a good videoscope to inspect cylinders and valves, under dashes, and so on, and was just wondering if anyone had any feedback on the Snap-On BK8000? I've searched, and found a little info, but not too much. I was intially looking at the Autel MV400 for around $150, but after watching some video reviews on Youtube, I think I will stay clear of that one, as most people say it is hard to see anything with it in "low light" situations, such as inside dark cylinders, do to the led's on the camera not putting off enough light, even with the brightness turned all the way up. So after thinking about it, I think I will go ahead and purchase a good one right from the start. I really like the features of the Snap-On BK8000, and can find lightly used ones in the $500 range. Anyone have any feedback on this one?

Thanks!

I have a Autel and our we have one at every shop we have to inspect inside aftertreatment 1 box on Semi trucks. they work ok for that the lights could be brighter and you have to move it slow and steady. I have used the snap on 1 time and it is a better unit as with everything you usually get what you pay for. We get the Autel because of cost we have techs that have stuck it in a one box that was 1100 degrees still and melted the cam.

I have the BK5600DUAL55, and had a Milwaukee video scope and a Ryobi Works Inspection Scope.

I threw away the Ryobi and sold the Milwaukee . The SO scope is worlds better at all the other two did, and additional has capability and functions the other did not.

The shop my son works at has Autel .....He used it, then mine and demo'ed then bought a BK8500DUAL55

I would not own a non dual view scope after using mine....the side view has been needed at least as many times as the end view...and a accessory mirror does not make a suitable replacement.
